1. Who We Are
SmileyQuest is a daily learning service for Singapore primary school students, delivered via Telegram. We are operated by the SmileyQuest team and can be reached at [email protected].
2. What Data We Collect
When you subscribe to SmileyQuest on Telegram, we may collect:
- Your Telegram username and/or user ID
- Your subscription status and the level (P1, P2, P3) you selected
- Question responses and accuracy data (used to generate your weekly insights report)
- Your preferred delivery time, if customised
We do not collect your full name, email address, phone number, payment information, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect solely to:
- Deliver your daily questions via Telegram
- Generate and send your weekly insights report
- Notify you of updates, new levels, or platform expansions you have opted into
- Improve the quality and relevance of our questions
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the SmileyQuest service.
4. Children's Privacy
SmileyQuest is designed for children aged 6–12. We are committed to protecting children's privacy in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. The Telegram account used to subscribe is typically managed by a parent or guardian, and data is associated with that account only.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child without parental consent, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your data stays with SmileyQuest and is used only to deliver our service to you.
The only exception is Telegram itself, which processes messages as part of its platform. Please refer to Telegram's own Privacy Policy at telegram.org/privacy for details on how they handle data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you are an active subscriber. If you unsubscribe, your data will be deleted within 30 days upon request.
7. Your Rights (PDPA)
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time

8. How to Unsubscribe
You can unsubscribe from SmileyQuest at any time by leaving the Telegram channel. All question deliveries will stop immediately. To request full data deletion, email us at [email protected].
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers via Telegram. Continued use of SmileyQuest after changes means you accept the updated policy.
